NetHack/wins Homepage

NetHack/wins is a set of three patches to NetHack 3.3.1 which add the windowing systems derived from Slash'EM.

Patch contents

1. Tile support code:
   • support for 4096 colours.
   • backwards compatibility with 62 colour files.
   • square tile grid to minimize image dimensions.
   • reading XPM files.
   • magnifying tile sets.
   • overlaying tile sets on a background.
   • filtering tile sets.
2. 32x32 and pseudo-3D tile sets from Mitsuhiro Itakura and AllegroHack.
3. GTK interface from JNetHack (with many improvements).

Patch 1 is required for either of the other two, but there are no other dependencies.

NetHack/wins is currently in the very early stages of development. I've done some very basic testing of playing a game under the GTK interface with all three patches applied, but that's about it.

I know there are lots of Slash'EM bits and bobs still present, especially in the Guidebook, which needs some major work.
