Project Beach

Project Beach is an attempt to create an installation system for MS-Windows applications based on open source libraries. It is primarily useful for applications which have optional components supported by a set of libraries. Using RPM packages, each component can be installed as required and the required libraries automatically pulled in. The whole system is then treated by MS-Windows as one application.

Version 0.3 consists of three parts:

• Razor: Library for depsolving, installing and removing packages: razor-0.3.tar.gz
• Plover: An installation program based on razor: plover-0.2.1.tar.gz
• Whelk: lua extensions for (un)install scripts: whelk-0.3.1.tar.gz
